Compact RGB White Line Generator

Compact RGB White Line Generator

A compact, high-performance module beam combining red, green, and blue laser diode emissions into a single precision white laser line.

The Challenge

Many applications in imaging, display, and materials processing require a precision white line laser source.  Traditional solutions often rely on bulky optics or multiple independent light sources, leading to alignment challenges, reduced efficiency, and inconsistent beam profiles.  Design difficulties compound when such a light source is to fit easily within the palm of your hand.

Our Solution

We developed a Compact RGB White Line Laser Module that integrates three precisely aligned diode lasers — red, green, and blue — into a single compact housing.  When activated together, the beams precisely combine to form a clean and stable white laser line suitable for demanding applications.

  • Beam-combining optics for precise coincident RGB integration.
  • Excellent spectral balance for high-quality white output.
  • Highly compact footprint for easy integration into OEM systems.
  • Independent RGB power control for color adjustment.
  • Line thickness set per customer requirements.

How It Works

The system employs precision optics to shape and dichroic filters to combine the emission from three laser diodes into a single overlapping beam.  Proprietary alignment techniques ensure exacting optical alignment tolerances for a highly coincident output beam.  The result is a continuous and spectrally white laser line emitted from a very compact laser module.

  • Output Wavelengths: Red: 640nm, Green: 520nm, Violet: 405nm.
  • Optical Power: 10mW each color.
  • Fan Angle: 80°.
  • Line Thickness: 500µm (FWHM).
  • Compact Module Size: 33 × 25 × 12mm.
